Is June the month?

Is June the month that YOU become a knitter or crocheter?  

 
I have updated my calendar (to the right, click on each date for more details) and my class schedule (tabs above).

I teach at the Avon Michaels and offer assistance at 2 Indy Public Library locations.

At Michaels, there is a cost of $25 for each 2 1/2 hour class.  You'd receive handouts, patterns and practically private lessons for basic instructions on Thursday evenings.

Also at Michaels, I offer "special" classes one Sunday a month. These are for students who have some experience in either knit or crochet.  In June we'll make Sock Monkeys.

At the libraries, (Haughville & College Ave) I offer assistance for FREE.  You'd need to bring your own projects and supplies.  I'll help but won't provide handouts or patterns.

What was I thinking?

My crazy busy life has slowed down, at least for the time being.  I had sooooo much  going on even I felt overwhelmed, which very rarely happens.

The new grand baby came a week early ( all are healthy and well.  Grand baby #4 is due in June)
My daughter graduated from Purdue University (she has a job already and will be moving to Dallas, TX)
I presented at a Library Conference (shared some of my story time techniques)
A library committee I serve on had a BIG program ( we addressed the issue of Re-Entry)
In 21 days I taught 6 knit or crochet classes (what was I thinking?)

And that's just what happened the week before last!

I took last week off and just laid around.  I didn't even do any knitting or crocheting, so you know I was exhausted!

But now I'm re-energized and excited about what comes next!

Tunisian Crochet Class

I realize I haven't written in a while, things have been so hectic! In the midst of it all, I'm having a special class this Sunday, May 5th at the Avon Michaels. 

I will teach Tunisian crochet and those who attend will get to make the pictured pillow.  An original designed by yours truly!  The class will be from 2:00-4:30.

I will do a demo of this technique at the Avon Michaels on Saturday, May 4th from 3-5.

Tunisian crochet hooks.  They're long like knitting needles and have a hook on the end.  One stitch used is the Tunisian knit stitch which looks just like knitting but you crochet it!
