The items are the same each time for the basic classes. Click on the calendar for dates and times of each class. And remember there's a good chance it will be a small class and I can teach you more than one thing! Be sure to scroll all the way down to see everything.

I was at my local Michael's, where I've spent quite a bit on yarn, and asked about getting the pattern for the 'bluesy cloche' hat. I'm pretty sure I could make it as I looked at the stitches used so the register person gave me the name and phone number of the crochet teacher to get the pattern. When I called her and explained that I know how to do enough crocheting to make that I just was wondering if she could direct me to a website, etc. for the pattern she told me Michael's won't let her give out the patterns. Come on! I buy yarn there and and don't need to know how to make a single or double crochet....does anyone know where I can find this pattern? It's the cute, VERY SIMPLE looking blue one above...Thx!
ReplyDeleteHello Anonymous!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where you're located but hopefully your local Michaels explained to you that the knit and crochet instructors are certified through the Craft Yarn Council and that's who provides the patterns for the classes that we teach, not Michaels.
You might want to check out the website http://craftyarncouncil.com/project.html which has both knit and crochet patterns available for anyone.
The specific hat that you mentioned is offered during the 3rd in the series of classes. It teaches textured stitches.
You might even consider completing the certification process so that you can teach at Michaels stores! That information is also available at the link above.
You might also want to Google "free crochet cloche patterns". If none of that helps, send me an email and I'll see what I else I might be able to suggest.
