Read it here first!

People who visit my blog will get this info first :)

I have cancelled my Tuesday classes for the remainder of April and May.  Why? I have accepted the position of Out of School Time Program Coordinator with The Children's Museum of Indianapolis!

The plan is to fulfill my obligation with the school through June 11th, the last day.

As of yesterday, April 19th, no one had registered for the Tuesday class times at Michaels so it won't change anything. Once my work schedule is clearer, I will probably choose a new day for my afternoon classes.

Stay tuned for the latest.

My next class at Michaels is the Crochet Spring Bunny and as you can see in the pictures above not only is this very cute, and easy, but can be made in a variety of color and yarn options.  The pink one can be found at Michaels while the others are being loved by my grandchildren.

Join me for this fun class on Thursday, April 24th from 6-8:30 pm.

The following week (Sunday 27th and Thursday May 1st) I will have an Arm Knitting class which is only $10.00!

This scarf can be made with bulky or ruffle yarn.

I hope to knit and or crochet with you soon!

Trying something new.

I'd seen this yarn/fabric but only recently decided to try it out.
It's usually near the yarn department in craft and fabric stores.  It looks like wide ribbon.

But once you unroll it, you see that one edge is just like the ribbon yarn that has been used a lot to make ruffle scarves.  And just like the ruffle yarn, this can be knit or crocheted.

I chose to knit mine and it only took one package to get this lovely lightweight ruffle scarf.  I started over several times because I wasn't sure how wide I wanted it to be.  I ended up casting on 4 stitches and it's about 4 inches wide and 60 inches long.  Not bad for $4.00 and less than an hour's time.
I think I'll buy more!
